I’m all about using non-toxic skincare and personal products! Unfortunately, sometimes prioritizing clean means sacrificing performance.
But not with Beautycounter!
I was already using makeup and skincare with a clean ingredient list that I was pretty happy with. But, I’m a product junkie and always like trying new products!
Knowing that I would eventually be a mom and want to stay home with my kids, I had been praying and dreaming for a couple years about doing something online where I could still bring in some side income.
A friend messaged me one day while I was already talking with my sister and God about these online ideas, and said she wanted to talk with me about the business side of Beautycounter.
So, we met for coffee.
I liked what the company stands for – advocating, educating, and sharing clean products with everyone.
The compensation plan seemed good.
My mind was already leaning towards monetizing Instagram, and sharing about Beautycounter on social media and bringing in a few bucks seemed doable.
So, I talked with my husband and prayed about it more. About two or three weeks later, God spoke to me and gave me the go-ahead.
In the meantime, I did my own research to make sure this company was actually legit. There are plenty of companies and products that claim to be “clean” or “natural”, but when you actually look into it, you see that they may have added one or two ingredients to market to people looking for a more natural option while the product still contains plenty of junk that I personally wouldn’t want to go near.
One of the main resources I use to find out how toxic or safe a personal care product is, is http://www.EWG.com. They also have an app that makes looking up products super convenient.
Beautycounter passed the test! The ingredients and even the packaging are safe!
Since I had never tried any Beautycounter products before becoming a consultant, I ordered a large welcome pack so I could try as much as possible at the cheapest price and get a full experience of their products.
What I chose included makeup and several collections of skincare for different skin types. (They also have tons of other products including body care, men’s skincare, and personal care products like deodorant, sunscreen, and charcoal masks.)
I expected to like the products and also expected to still mix in other brands. But, I didn’t expect to LOVE the products as much as I do!
I’m hooked.
You don’t sacrifice performance at all for the sake of clean here!
In order to get a true feel for how my skin would do with this new non-toxic skincare, I decided to spend at least the first month using only Beautycounter. During that time, I honestly didn’t feel like I was missing out on anything. I actually haven’t really gone back to using much of anything else besides a skin probiotic spray by MaryRuth Organics and some essential oils occasionally. My skin improved so much that I became confident going out in public and getting on social media with little or even no makeup.
Overall, my skin is brighter, my tone is more even, and it just looks more alive and glowy. My skin also feels so smooth now and never gets dry.
It takes such a little amount of each product that the bottles last forever. I remember buying skincare kits in the past, and paying a pretty penny for a 30 day supply.
Beautycounter products last me much longer than 30 days. I can go several months before needing more.
Also, the packaging is beautiful and looks so nice on my counter. 🙂
As a consultant, I’ve spent time learning about the different products, and I love talking with people to help you pick out the best products for your skin type and lifestyle. (I actually really enjoy this part of the “job”)
It works as a side income for me because when you purchase through my link or chose me as your consultant during check out, I earn a percentage of that sale.
Feel free to email me or message me on Instagram so we can talk about what might be the best for you!
P.S. If there is something I think you’ll like that’s not Beautycounter, I’ll share that with you! While I am a consultant, I don’t exclusively recommend Beautycounter.
